What you are about to encounter on this page are the many verses that have helped and continue to help me, along the way with my longing, my grief and my sorrow for my parents. Through the scripture I have learned so much about who I am as a daughter of the Most High. In searching through the Bible I have found some of the coolest scripture. Through His Word, I have been taken through the suffering and on to the joy. For some of you this statement may have you wondering if I have absolutely lost my mind ( some of my closest friends would dare to say, "yes she has")..... however, some of you know exactly what I'm talking about. God's Word has been my very comfort in such times of need. Please take some time and read the Word God has given to us for such a time as this. If you have a particular verse of scripture that has impacted your life please share it with me and I will post it to this page. May the God of the Universe "knock your socks off" as you read below and find strength for the day. Your Sister in Christ, Debbie Grady
John 11:35 Jesus Wept.Psalm 61:2I "From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the Rock that is higher than I." Psalm 61:2 (Melissa, thanks for sharing this one with us!)II Corinthians 1:2 - 4 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. II Corinthians 4:8-10 We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair; persecuted, but no forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed, always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. (This is one of my favorites!)II Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart, even though our outward man ins perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory Psalm 56:8 You number my wonderings, put my tears in to Your bottle, are they not in Your book. II Corinthians 12:9-10
And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities that the power of Christ may reast upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. Galatians 6:10 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you. Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age. Against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete It until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:8 Finally brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things. I Peter 5:10 May the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while , perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. I Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren be steadfast immovable always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Phillipians 4:6-9 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
